Isn’t the only way to update the bios with a floppy? I don’t know if my bios chip is socketed or if its on the board. Thank you for helping us maintain CNET’s great community. The makers web site should have a utility that boots from a floppy and installs the A7n8xx driver and then is capable of running the Disk Testing Utility.

You may need to fit a Floppy drive temporally or maybe even you may need to create a Boot CD to do this but you have to test the Drive first. Thanks for the advice.
